Gee, but my phone has been busy lately. I have a weather app on the phone that sends me push notifications about weather warnings, watches, and advisories. It's been sending "special weather statement" advisories nonstop over the past two days, mostly about below-zero wind chill. It hasn't been above freezing since Christmas here. It's not forecast to go above freezing until Monday. Why doesn't the weather service simply issue a wind chill advisory until Memorial Day, then they can cancel it early if they have to. Now with your morning weather update, here's Lowell George:
Classic Feat song from the album 'Sailin Shoes' (1972).

I know. Silly me. I get a good laugh when they have the "spotter information statement" on the weather radio. I keep thinking, "Spotters are advised to keep inside and drink hot chocolate until severe weather season."

Out here we have 3 or 4 weather stations and usually they don't agree with one another @FourWalls since there is a mountain range here the topography is drastically different from one area to the next and instead of simply saying it's gonna be hot they try to tell us how hot. I'm curious, is the topography where you are pretty even throughout the region?

@rebelann -- we're in the Ohio Valley region. It's hilly here, mountainous in eastern Kentucky, but we're considered a "valley" region. As @LoriAMoore (who's also from Louisville) will attest, our weathermen don't agree with one another because half of them are drama queens (you know who I'm talking about, Lori [Eddie Munster]).

I think we're going to be bundled up until at least Memorial Day (or maybe 4th of July).

Somebody should have started a series with cold, chill or snow in the title.
