Thoughts Going Out To Two Lost Friends

My daughter and I have lived here in this apartment complex for at least ten years. We have met a lot of people and made some great friends. One came to visit my daughter recently. She had moved to Ohio and came back to see some family. But, there are two gals who have not made it out of here. By that I mean the two died here. How? They were both addicted to pain killers. One, Dana, used to come over in the mornings and have coffee with my daughter. She had three boys and was funny and outspoken. The other was an older lady. I can't remember her name. Toward the end of the month she would quite often come over to borrow a roll of toliet paper. I miss these two gals. I wonder how many others can think of people they have lost to such things. Very sad to become dependant on such things.

Addiction to pain killer or any medicine is really bad, It is like my battle with eating too much. If I don't put a stop it, I will pass away and hurt the ones I love. .

@Deepizzaguy And society won't support you in your battle. Just notice what you see in a grocery store and you'll know what I mean.

It is sad when you loss your family members and friends due to addictions. My one friend killed herself and left behind a 21 and 14 year old. The oldest in nursing school quit and enrolled near her Mother's house to take care of her brother.

i worry often that that might get daughters fiance or my estranged son back in AZ. i do think though that Clay has fought this addiction to where he has a handle on it now. it is hard to fight wanting those when you are in a lot of terrible pain. i hope not to loose any from that unless i have and don't realize it yet.

It is always sad for those left behind wondering if there was something that could have been done to help them!

That is sad to be addicted to pain killers and have them kill you instead.
