As JJ correctly said this is the Muslim way to divorce his wife by simply uttering Talaq 3 times and the divorce formalized.This custom has victimized Muslim women lot because husband out of anger ,whim and in other emotion repeat this word 3 times in any means even on sms or whats up and they are no longer husband and wife.So the government has drafted a bill to criminalize this practice over riding Muslim personal law board.But the opposition of this bill is that if husband is sent to jail how he can pay the maintenance (alimony) to his wife and under that circumstances divorced women will suffer not lesser because most of Indian Muslim women are dependent upon their husband for livelihood. Personally i am favor to bill which deters this practice but sentencing husband will do no good as this will further diminish the chances of reconciliation between two parties. I think i could explain this to just have brief idea of what it is all about ?Whats your opinion on this subject matter.
