2:30am and I can't sleep

I tried to go to bed earlier but I just laid there for an hour and just could not fall to sleep. I just kept tossing and turning so I decided to get up. I tried watching TV for a bit hoping that would put me to sleep but it didn't work. I read for a bit and that didn't work so now I am on here. I figure eventually I will get tired enough to sleep. What do you do when you can't sleep?

There is no such case when I didn’t fall asleep! I suggest you to listen to the music! Sleeping musics are available everywhere!

Been there done that many times. It can be frustrating. Sometimes a glass of warm milk helps. We just put some in a coffee cup and microwave it about a minute and then drink it

When I cannot sleep and my thoughts are jumbled I get up and head for my PC. I have been here at 2 or 3 Am my time and last night I finally fell asleep but was up at 7 AM and so we meet here. Actually 7 AM my time is 12 midnight in the U.S and I guess also in Canada. Hope you can finally get some sleep.

Reading works for me to sleep but I easily fell asleep because of being tired at work. Did you turn off all the lights when you are about to sleep?

There are breathing exercises you can do to help yourself sleep. I think it is two breaths in and seven out..but not quite sure. I do that sometimes..and just lay there. I rarely get up.Once in awhile I will watch Netflix though on the Kindle. I am very careful with my caffeine intake and I also take some pre sleep options like an aspirin and an OTC sleep med. They help me alot, so I don't struggle with sleep nearly as much as I used to.

I usually stay in bed, trying not to move too much not to wake up my husband. If I notice he is not sleeping, I grab a book and I read.

I hate to be tossing and turning when I know that my guy is sleeping so good. Sometimes I just go into the spare room so I dont bother him.

I will just stare at the TV with low sound until finally sleep comes. You have to fight against frustration.

I read when I can't sleep. Saturday night I went to bed at 4am and up at 10am as i couldn't sleep and was up for the whole day. I did not nap but as soon as the sun hits my body is awake. I hope you were able to eventually fall asleep.
