When I buy from market, banana is always like fig. 1. So, from my imagination, banana is like apple on the tree, until I have seen fig. 2 and 3. And I start to think it is normal after I have seen banana tree for the first time. What amazing me is in fig 4 and 5. Oh, that must be the king of banana.

I saw these in Cambodia. For the 1, 2, 3 can be seen everywhere in Cambodia. But the tree of king banana, it is in a local people's house, the day I worked at road site, and saw the king banana tree in the resident's house, took the photos.

I've never seen bananas on the tree, but I sure wish I could grow them here. My husband eats four or five a day. I buy enough I hope will last a week and they seem to disappear in four days no matter how many I buy. Welcome to myLot.

Thank you. I like to eat banana too. In Cambodia, there is a kind of banana can be eaten when it is green, but it tastes good, as sweet as yellow banana too.

I eat about 10 bananas a day. What are those in figures 4 & 5? Are those banana clusters when very small?

@fei1125 Maybe it was just an odd one? They don't often let bananas go that far since the fruits will be tinier.

In India especially in southern parts and coastal areas you get to see bananas growing in almost all home gardens. We too have three varieties , one of them is extensively used in cooking, making curries and raw banana fritters ..

The banana shall be removed from the tree when it is green. Just leave it there, it will become yellow in a few days.
