What a mum!

I don't know what to do with my mum. She asked me to take care of her. How can I do that when I have depression and schizophrenia. She told me I need to go and get a job and earning at home is not a way out. What I told her I can't because I just can't tolerate 9 to 5 job, I will get really frustrated and anxious and at night I couldn't sleep at all. She even told me if you want to die don't die at my home, go die outside. I was really depressed why my mum is like that. What can I do? Welfare department won't help unless you are laying on your bed.

I don't have enough info to say if your Mom was right or you are. Medical problems are always complicated. But if you can't do a 9 to 5 job, how about a home business? In my country almost every home has a business place. Could that be an alternative?

Now that explains why you have depression and schizophrenia. With that kind of mum I think I'll end up having a mental problem too.

Those are harsh words, have you tried to get treatment at the government hospital ? Cheaper bills. You can try selling things online to earn money or apply online jobs or visit fiverr

It is normal for parents to ask their children to take care of them, you know why? Because they are getting old and you are still young. Try not to think negatively, a mother will always be a mother and I think she mean it in a different way. She is concerned about you and your future. If you cannot take 9 - 5 jobs then try an hourly based jobs. If you have Depression and Schizophrenia, I guess you have to interact with real people and discover friends that will truly care about you. Most people likes to nag, listen to what they brag about. By that you will discover where you need to start and what you need to do. Someday, those negative words will make you strong that even Depression cannot beat you up anymore.
