Do you sayote, I tried to google the English name and it said chayote. The fruit is green and the size is like pear. It is commonly in the colder part of our region particularly in the mountainous part. The edible part is the young leaves and the fruits. Fruits are usually in single so its unusual to see a twin fruit. I forgot where I took the photo but sure its unusual like twin fruit of banana-- I mean a conjoined fruit of it. Have you seen one?

even in my country, twin banana is common. We have a superstition that a woman shouldn't eat twin banana or else she will have twin kids.

i haven't seen a conjoint sayote / chayote but it surely does look so rare. I love to eat sayote most especially when I'm going too cook it with a mixture of some pork and some soy sauce and with a mixture of ample amount of sugar too. It's yummy!

From where I come from, I have not seen such a fruit. Probably because our country is not that cold.
