Negative Thoughts

Hello MyLotters, Have any of you get negative thoughts? I used to get negative thoughts when I am angry upon things. Overcoming negative thinking is one of the major struggles you might encounter. When I notice that negative thoughts or images are starting in my mind I say to stop! Stop being negative and if I am alone I say it loud. Preferred you can use language which stronger that word stop. What do you do when you get negative thoughts?

I used to have a lot of them, and there always are moments when they return. But I think over the years, I have matured some. I have noticed, if you try to stop them, they won't go. But if you find something else to focus on, soon we could have something that takes up most of our time, and the negative emotion would be insignificant in comparison, so mind would not want to upload it. Hope this method helps.

What happens when you are not busy? Cannot keep busy? Say when you are sick.

Good keeping busy will divert your mind from getting negative thoughts

@vandana7 I'm the type who always looks for things to keep me busy. I get irritated when I have nothing to do. Even during days that I'm sick, I still look for things to do, like household chores. It helps a lot.

I use to have negative thoughts but now I try to think in something positive at the same time. I think negative thoughts are part of what we, as human beings, are.

Every body has a negative thoughts. But you should not put it in your mind for a long time for it may result an evil thoughts hence, change it with a happy thoughts and clear your mind with negative vibes. Try to breathe in and out and be calm whenever you are angry. Because an angry feeling will cause you to hurt someone physically and verbally

I usually brushed off negative thoughts because it doesn't help in every direction of my life.
