Early to Bed, Early to Rise

Lately I am finding the need to hug my pillow earlier than usual. Perhaps it is the weather that is causing me to be fatigued. However, I want to be an adult and stay up to watch some good television programs that I follow. Missed last night's "This is Us." I put Little Miss to bed at 8:30 last night. She usually is in bed by 8, but I got busy with something and the time slipped by. She was out shortly after her head hit the pillow, and so was I. I woke at 9:15. There is no way I will start watching a show when it has already started. Just in a few minutes you miss some key points of the plot. I'll watch it online tonight. I always turn the ringer on my phone off at night and it will vibrate if I get a call. I was so tired that I missed a call from the daughter of one of my clients. She didn't leave a message for me. That irks me when someone calls and doesn't bother to leave a message. I guess I will have to wait until I see my client today to find out what is going on. I did speak with her daughter earlier and know that the client is having a lot of problems with mobility. Sciatica seems to be the problem. I am hoping that is all we have to worry about with her. When I woke at 9:15, I headed to the kitchen to make icing for a cake I baked. Found I ran out of vanilla so I had to make peanut butter frosting. Frosted the cake, put a slice of it in my husband's lunch bag, and went back to bed. Woke again at 4:54 from the sound of the shower running. Hubby was getting ready for work. Ugh. Got up and started my day. I am one that enjoys quiet in the morning. Love to sip my coffee in utter silence. I raised the cup to my lips and heard a little voice call "Gram!" from the backroom. That was at 5:10. Sigh. So, we are now getting ready for daycare and work. Little Miss is playing with her toys. I am flexing my fingers at the computer keyboard. And my day begins. Hope you have a good start to your day or end of it whatever the case may be.

Sometimes just getting a little nap can help a lot, I know how it feels to never quite get enough sleep.

I try to nap and never seem to be able to. However, sit me down with a cup of coffee in the recliner for 5 minutes and I am out like a light.

Being woken up so early is good that you went to bed early. I am tired all the time I am lucky if I can stay awake past 10 pm. I would love some cake right now!

I think once I get some sunlight I will feel better. Lack of it this time of year makes me feel sluggish.

@shaggin it is staying lighter later in the day now. Wish it would hurry up and stay lighter into the early evening. I am ready for spring.

I’m finding myself really tired as well. I’m in bed pretty much at the same time as my kids.

I find it is better to give in to the need for sleep and get as much as you can. I feel much better when I get a little more sleep. Lack of it leaves me feeling like a slug.

@ElusiveButterfly I know the feeling. I prefer to get more sleep and listen to my body.

I am lethargic, I am in the mood of doing nothing at all. I have always liked to wake up early, but the past days I would have been happy to stay in bed.

I woke at 5:35 this morning. Surprised me that I slept later. Hubby did too and had to rush around so he could leave for work. Hopefully he got there on time.

@Srbageldog I have no problems sleeping once my head hits the pillow. I wake often during the night though.

@ElusiveButterfly I am an insomniac and can never sleep through the night. I sleep better during the day.
