I've always had a fairly good vocabulary, or at least I thought so.
"Bemused" is a word that I've never used because I never knew what it meant. I've heard it a few times through the years, but somehow I never learned its meaning.
Is "bemused" a word you use regularly, or hear very often?
I'm a word nerd so I just love this type of thing.

I've come across the word many time in my readings. I love words and collecting different or unusual words. It does tend to annoy me when people use words in wrong context. It shows their laziness and/or ignorance in not taking the time to research the word to find the proper meaning before they use it.

Thanks @BearArtistLady. That annoys me sometimes too, but I just let it go because I don't want to be known as the grammar police.

I like the word and see it in books sometimes, but it is not one I would use in speech or maybe even writing. I checked to see how long it has been around (about 1735) and wonder if it verges on the archaic?

Hi @JamesHxstatic. Thanks for checking on that. I'd say it very well could be archaic if it's been around since 1735!

I can see you love to learn new words. I think I heard of bemused. I would never know that is what it means.
