Then Suddenly Dogs Barking At Night

Around 1am last night I can't sleep, one of those times when I am awaken I cannot find to sleep again.
The suddenly the dogs in the place started barking together. Then I thought of these three things:
A. There was a ghost that dogs are afraid.
B. There are people around that disturbed the dogs.
C. They are communicating something that only them can understand.
I wasnot afraid either of the three but I just can't sleep because of the noise.
Its good by 2am I have sleep.

Who knows, really, what sets them off? 
My dog wakes me up every 3 AM to go out and pee. It's so ritualistic and consistent that it's creepy.
Then again, 5 AM at times to run around the whole house barking at something that wasn't there. Like, patrolling.
And......you need ear plugs.

Yes I think need those sometimes. Last night was a rare incident like that.

@ilocosboy Just as a warning, you will hear your own heartbeat when you wear earplugs and it can be annoying

haha! dogs barking in the middle of night is scary. In our province, they have scary interpretation of that. If the group of dog barks in 3 consecutive nights, someone will die.

Maybe because some people go pass by your house.

I hope its not ghost (you know the superstition of our oldies that when dogs are barking like that they say there's elemental roaming).

May be during nights there is silence all over. This creature needs attention all the time. Why its not happening in day time ? Hope this is right.

All of the above. Hahah! I had a hard time finding my sleep last night. I am awake until 2am. But not going to open my cellphone as it made me more awake from browsing.
