Have you ever noticed that many times you will ask a question, but you will not get a yes or no answer?

For example, you may ask a question about something you really want an answer to, and instead of the person saying yes or no, they say....it should or it shouldn't be a problem? It could be about a drug side effect. It shouldn't be a problem. Or you should be able to do it in 20 minutes. It should be fine. Should..Should..Should. Will this stain remover also get out coffee stains? It should. Will my dress be ready by noon? It should be. That is no answer. If you really don't know, just tell me, because when people say...it should...it usually isn't.

During my younger days we have a joke with my friend, whenever I ask him " is the girl pretty? " and he answers " she's nice and friendly" I already know what he means

I do that with babies. Not all are pretty, just born. Not even my own grandchildren. So I say "what a nice curly hair he has!" or "such nice color!"

@MsBooklover but seriously, biblically speaking, it had been mentioned " let your yes be yes and your no be no, anything beyond is evil" so I answer in the affirmative or negative as much as I possibly can

Most of the answers that I get are without Yes or No asyou said! And I hate those giving me only the answer of the last question!

I like yes and no answers but explaining why.

@MsBooklover I have trained my daughters and grandchildren to explain why they answered this or that.

Some people love half-meant answer not to hurt others feelings. But then, I am so persistent and needs a concrete answer.
