Victor Hugo said that laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face. I once watched a five part mini-series starring John Cleese (Monty Python) called The Human Face from 2002. It's a fascinating show exploring all kinds of subjects where the human face is concerned. The one small part that I remember the most are the laughing clubs in India. They meet every morning and perform many laughing exercises for over thirty minutes, and they are refreshed to start their day. I've always wanted to join one of these clubs, but I've never heard of one where I live. Laughter can affect our immune system, and releases dopamine and endorphin's throughout the body. Just smiling helps also, and it doesn't even need to be real. Would you join a laughing club? Watch the video starting at 121.

I'm not sure how it works. Do they laugh for no reason? Then I'd probably pass. If they tell some good jokes that make people laugh then I would love to. My little one gives me enough laugh every evening

@Madshadi When my children were little, I laughed at their antics a lot. It was free entertainment.

I think that we all know this to be true, but sometimes its tough to get others to buy into this when work and stresses get in the way. I always wear a smile, because its a small form of happiness that spreads pretty quickly when people see it.

Yes laughter is the best medicine for better health. Many forget to smile in living in a tension world.

I know someone here that taught something to do with laughter. I got one of her tapes and listened to it once. Laughing is a good thing but not enough people do it it seems like.

I think it’s goofy to laugh without reason, but I do think that laughter really does come with some benefits. I always feel happiness and ecitment when I can’t stop laughing at a funny joke. Nice post!!
