Rats are not welcomed here...

Well... It was one of those man eating, ugly, nasty, creepy, rodents called rats, after-all. I had stored things under my bed, and found shredded crap everywhere. It ate through my boxes, and even through my body lotions. Apparently...they like that stuff. I am the only female in this house, and does it go to any of the other rooms? Oh no... Just mine. I guess this rat does not like men. I live near woods, and so I imagine this is where it came from... The landlord just put down glue traps. This place is not great. But it is a roof. Just here until March, because will not be able to afford it after that... Thought I would be here longer, but as usual...people's word is not worth the snot they blow out of their nose. I am so tired of all this... I want my apartment to become available, but they keep pushing the time frame back. First it was going to be 1.5 years; then 2 years; then 2.5 years; then 3 years; now they tell me 3.5 years. I have already waited 2 years. Eventually... My turn has to come up. It just has to...

I’m sorry it was a rat, but I’m glad you found out.

I thought it was a rat, I am sorry you have this problem. I fear rats, they can also bite you while you sleep.

@teresatrotter What about adopting a cat from a shelter?

Please do not remind me of this... I slept with the light on all night, hoping the light will deter it from coming out...even though I know they come out in the daylight. Ugh...

Oh, dear. I know what you're going through. I have a mouse in here somewhere. I've put a lot of things in glass jars or plastic tubs but it/they still seems to be munching away on something. What, I don't know, but I see the "evidence". Hope you get your apartment soon. I take it that it's public housing?

Sub housing. I am disabled, so this housing bases my rent on my income. It is in a senior facility, so I will have lots of things to do, and events to go to... Rats will eat through plastic, even Tupperware!

@teresatrotter So far, the stuff in the plastic boxes is safe. I keep checking.

Your apartment you are waiting for why is it such a long wait are they building it or is your name on a list waiting for your turn to come up? We have mice here thankfully no rats. The mice do enough damage. One got in my van the other day.

Is there a hole somewhere in your room? I'd pull out all the furniture and fill every single hole. Also, I read rats and mice are repelled by peppermint. You can get it as an essential oil, add it to water in a squirt bottle, and spray the heck out of your room. Air it out for a few hours after spraying. Worth a shot...

I have a lot of pepperment candy, and I do not like pepperment. No holes in the walls or floors.
