1. Buy potatoes (or grow 'em yerself) 2. Yer gunna need several cans o' chicken broth, at least a tub of sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and bacon bits. 3. Oh yeah, and a big ass pot to cook it in. 4. And some fire. NOW... Peel potatoes, then slice and dice 'em. Put in pot. Pour in chicken broth 'til potatoes are fully submerged (that means covered in broth). Put de pot wit de taters an de broth on de fire. BOIL. THEN BOIL SOME MORE. KEEP BOILING. Okay, after 'bout an hour or so, take a blender/mixer and blend the hell out of the potatos (make sure you blend all the hell out, or it'll taste kinda sulphuric...) Add sour cream, shredded cheese and bacon bits. Blend some more. EAT!!!

Just like posts about your birthday, etc., it all depends on how they are done.

Yep, that was clarified well by Yuki and Admin on this discussion:
Are we allowed to share recipes on mylot? I think it would be fun to share recipes and holiday ideas. What do you think?

@judyev, the type of recipe post that is not allowed is if it's just a list of ingredients and instructions

@JolietJake My boyfriend makes some pretty good potato soup. He uses kielbasa, milk, and hot sauce in his. I'd like to try it your way though, sounds good! (Especially the bacon bits! )
