Do you think aliens exist?

I want to have a legit conversation with someone about this. I really want to know why you wouldn't think they exist. My thoughts are they do. Just because we don't see and interact with them doesn't mean they're not there. Maybe there is non in our galaxy but there's an infinite amount of galaxies out there that we have yet to discover. Maybe for the aliens am they are not as technically advanced to discover us just as we are not advanced enough to even travel pass Mars. There is no way we are the only living our here. I think we need to raise our standards. I don't understand why scientists only look for earth like planets and assume aliens can only live in an earth like planet. Tell me your thoughts!

I personally have no doubt that we are not alone. But I also personally have no proof. We know for a fact that the human mind/brain (whatever) can not perceive all there is to perceive regarding our vision or our hearing. I imagine there is much going on around us every second of the day that we are completely oblivious to. With all our organic and technological equipment there is still so much more we haven't even fathomed yet. To me it is silly to think we are IT.

I agree.I think there is so much more to it to even understand and discover other brings. We as human most likely have not evolved to that level of understanding yet.

All I know is that there are so many things about our world, about the Universe, that we don't know and will probably never know. But I see no point in trying to wrap our heads around things that are so hard to prove and getting all stressed about it (not that you are, but some people go to such lengths of arguing and debating their existence). Stories of abductions come back hoax, US government regarding Area 51 are very shady about it, so yeah, I don't really know and I'm not sure if I care. Too many of us look up to the skies for answers, when we have real problems right here on Earth - pollution, social injustice, terrorism. This should be our priority, not the aliens. But yeah, it's an interesting topic.

@taciaelisepeace Yeah too many conspiracy theories out there. So hard to tell which one to believe.

I completely agree with your point of view as well. We do have way too much to worry about here vs what's out there. Who knows what additional problems well uncover by poking around unknown territory. I agree we probably shouldn't too worked up about trying to prove it. Who knows why the government is being shady, maybe there is a bigger problem that we are better off not knowing about.

@Theresaaiza There's some truth but then some of it is just way out there and someone was digging way too deep to where they confused themselves.

they'd have to.only mankind would be so arrogant as to think we're it. although if they're smart, they'll stay away from us.just the junk in orbit around the earth oughta to be a good reason why..

First of all, what do you mean by aliens? I need to know your definition of an alien?

@taciaelisepeace Are we talking about aliens from another planet or aliens from another dimension? Which ones did you encounter? I have personally not encountered anyone from another planet. Are there any beings or even life on another planet. So far there is no evidence. I have personally encountered evil and good aliens from another dimension. They are called in the Bible, angels and demons.

With all due respect, just the basically definition of an alien. I think it means undocumented species or being. This is regarding the ones round outside of our planet.

@1hopefulman I have encountered other beings when tripping heavily off of psychedelics. So maybe in some shape of form we have enclosed similar things through deep spiritual journeys?

I'm not sure, because we just don't know until they reveal themselves to us.

@taciaelisepeace Yes, I would, for good or evil, I think it's best that we would know.

But would they want to reveal themselves to us? Would you want us to reveal ourselves if they did exist?

So I would like to understand this perspective more. This is the tyoe of thinking I was questioning haha. Do you believe we are the only living out here out of all of the infinite amount of galaxies out there? We can really see too far out, we can't even make it past mars. So how does one make this assumption? :)

I think there is more out there. Just like we exist, I think it's possible that other life-forms exist. I think a lot of people are afraid to believe it, because the unknown is scary.
