Today I had my shower right after lunch, my parents always told me that this could be dangerous but the truth is that I never had problems and I have done this very often. Today when I was finishing my bath I felt a little dizzy and I noticed that my blood pressure was quite low, I sat down and took a deep breath and waited a few minutes to get up again. I don't know if It had to do with the shower being taken right after lunch but I think I won't do it again
Do you use to do this?

You better don't its not recommended, the blood pressure which got low is because of that only. We often do things because what is said never happened with us so it doesn't exist for us.
But imagine if something happens and our eyes open up in heaven then it will be to late to believe what was said was true

maybe we condition ourselves with what our parents tell us, and imbibe those beliefs.

@nela13 not all beliefs of our parents should be absorbed though. we have our own minds now.

Yes, it is not good to shower right after eating. This has to do with disrupting the the process of digesting. As you experienced yourself you can suffer ill. The older heads knew what they were talking about. Probably from experience. When I was younger I was not bothered much by observing good sense and it has never affected me once. But now it is better to be save than sorry.

maybe it's just coincidence since you said you've done it often before. maybe you were sleep-deprived? i usually have breakfast before showering.

I've never heard this before about a shower, only about swimming, and now I read they've proven it isn't true.

They say you're not supposed to swim right after eating, so maybe taking a shower falls into that same category. Should probably wait a couple hours after you eat before taking a shower.
