Finally! A 4-Day Weekend Coming My Way!

My mind is racing at 100 miles a minute. So many things happening that I can't focus. I decided to take 2 days off. I submitted my request 2 weeks ago to have this Friday and Monday off. That will give me 4 days off in a row. Hoping that I can accomplish a bit of organizing in my home. Once that is done maybe I can gain the ability to focus on me. Of course I will take some time for me as well. I so need that. I don't plan on spending the entire day inside my home. I am going to do things that are fun for me. Not sure what that is because I haven't done fun things in quite a while. There are so many things in my personal life that are dragging me down. Nothing I have control over so I need to seperate myself from them. Still, I am bogged down by them. I pray that each resolves on their own. Hoping that we get some warmer weather so I can get outside for a little while and take a walk. Even if it is for a short distance it will help to clear my mind and build a little bit of my strength back. Seems all I do lately is sit on my rear end and do nothing. That isn't healthy for body or mind. For now, I will start with this weekend. From there I hope to do more. We all must keep in mind that nothing ventured is nothing gained.

I keep telling myself that I need to have more "me" time. Actually doing it is a problem.

@DianneN the past three days have been so much fun I've done hardly anything and enjoyed every minute of it.

@ElusiveButterfly It's only a problem if you don't do it.

I really hope you can go for a nice walk and do something fun for yourself. Maybe a paint night? Or just go get a trim done?

@Courtlynn anything that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and can be done in a couple of hours is a good thing.

I'll have to price that stuff and see if I can afford it at this time.

It is snowing now and will do so throughout the day and night. Yay. But, it is supposed to be a bit warmer so I can take Little Miss outside to play for a short time.

Having four days in a row at home surely helps to better organize what we need to do.

I believe I can accomplish the organization part in 2 days time. The other 2 days will be just for me.

It may not be anything more than going to a store without a child in tow or going to visit my mother and sharing a meal with her. But, it will be time for me.

Normal days are far from normal. I have much to do and hoping that I can get a leg up on it before my days off.

I really hope you enjoy this time off work. Sounds like you really need some time to destress. I hope the weather warms up so you can get out for a walk. That always helps me too!

I need time to get things done at home without a toddler underfoot. Lol. Also a little time for me to sit back and relax.

It would be great if I could travel to Maine and spend a few hours at the beach. I'll have to be happy with staying close to home.

I have a lot of cobwebs to clear out of my head. Supposed to be warmer this afternoon and tomorrow we will have more snow. Little Miss will love that.

I am mentally making a list of what to do and how to do it. I'll write it down soon and then follow through with it. Once done I will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
