A sunset worthy of praise

There has been a cyclone ravaging our northern coasts and now it has turned into a rain-bearing depression and has been heading south. We have been told to expect rain tomorrow and Wednesday. This evening we have had some spectacular cloud formations. Vince rushed out with his camera to try to capture the stunning colours and I thought I’d share this one with you.

@JudyEv I love both sunsets and sunrises. Right now the sun raises after 8 in the morning, very late. In summer you need to get up very early.

@lnillerman Sunsets and sunrises can be spectacular can't they? We are not up early enough to see many sunrises.

At least your rain bearing depressions lead to wonderful scenes like that. If I took a pic during our continual Manchester rain bearing depression there would only be one colour. Grey!!

No, this one is just as we saw it. Sometimes he uses a software which gets rid of 'haze' but not with this one. It was a really weird light before the rain started.

@silvermist Thanks. It's not a good title really. I just meant it was a spectacular sunset and worthy of sharing. It sounds like I'm fishing for compliments for Vince but that really wasn't the idea.
