Dinner was a disappointment

You win some and you lose some when you are always trying new recipes. Unfortunately, tonight's was not a winner. I made a Mexican dish: Meatballs in Guajillo Sauce with Zucchini. It wasn't bad or inedible by any means but it also wasn't amazingly delicious. It was just pretty "blah" and a lot of work for something that was boring. I followed the directions exactly and it just wasn't a particularly flavorful dish which is very unusual in Mexican cuisine.
The bad part is that there are LOTS of leftovers so I will be eating them for lunch for a couple of days. I will try to jazz them up a bit with some shredded cheese and freshly chopped cilantro for extra flavor. I won't be making this one again.

That's too bad. I hate when a recipe comes out like that.

When I make a dish that blah, I end up eating it for lunch with cheese and salsa on top! LOL
