What a week.

It's been an interesting week with my girls. A little over a week ago, my second daughter had a slight fever, and fell asleep early. I did write a post about it. Well since then quite a few things happen. The day after this happen, on Monday, my eldest came home and was saying that her ear was hurting a little. Took her to the clinic, and found out she had some wax build up in her ear. Had to take her back on Wednesday to deal with it, since they didn't have what they needed. That same night, my second daughter comes home and complains that her ear hurts. I take her to the clinic. She was in a lot of pain. She was crying. I felt so bad. It was hard. They did a test for strep and gave her some drops for her ear, which was a little red. Well, I get a call back over the weekend. She tested positive for strep and is on antibiotics for ten days. At least, she's been fine since Thursday. She woke up and her ear was fine, and nothing since. But still giving her the antibiotics. She did stay home yesterday, since she hadn't been on them for a full 24 hours, and was a little disappointed she couldn't go, but she will be able to go back today. Then last night, my eldest starts snuggling with my husband around 6:30. She has her eyes closed, which is really unusual. Even when she opened her eyes, something was off. Even my husband thought the same thing. Now, this morning, I felt her forehead, which was quite warm. No doubt, in my mind, she's staying home today. She was even asking for a bucket in case she throws up. So, she won't be doing much today. My son has been fine, as far as we can tell. But my girls, on the other hand, are a different story. Hopefully, this is the last thing for a while. I don't like seeing my kids sick.

It's never easy to see sick kids. Thankfully, they're slowly getting better. So, so far, so good. It seems to be calming down.

It’s not easy at all. It’s always hard as a parent to see your kids sick. I’m sure it’s just as hard.

Your eldest daughter is likely coming down with strep too so I imagine soon she will need antibiotics as well. I hope no one else catches it and the girls start feeling better soon!

I recall when my son was sick I couldn't take it at times. They are helpless and not able to understand but as parents we tend to worry more. Hope all is well soon - siva

they are better now for sure. My eldest's fever is gone and, although my youngest daughter is still on antibiotics, she does still seem alright. So, all in all, they're better, I would say.
