Can't Wait

I know it is only January 16th, but I can't help it. I can't wait for my Bleeding Heart bushes to come alive. They are usually one of the first flowers to come alive in the early Spring. I think that we have seen enough white stuff already. We need some colors in our lives: pink, yellow, red, orange and blue flowers will certainly make the scenery more interesting. It is a good thing that we have lots of evergreens here in our yard, otherwise, it would be mostly white. Are you tired of white?

We almost have seen no snow at all this year. The primroses and the wild violets are already blooming in the garden, that is weird.

I'm so glad we don't get snow here but it is very brown out there which is not a pretty color.

Yeah, but I was out a little bit ago and there is a little green peeking through here and there @marlina no doubt it's those weeds getting a foot hold.

I used to see bleeding hearts in my yard years ago. My grandmother planted them when she was alive and well. They never come up anymore

Yes......I am so tired of white and driving on the white. I hate the snow belt! Now is the time of year when I like to browse the websites to get ideas for gardening in the spring.

I'm in southern Florida, so I have only seen white sand beaches. Just before we left, I saw flowers in bloom on several shrubs. So strange. Hold on. Spring will be here before you know it.

Every year I'm helping my aunt Mary grow bleeding hearts. Last year the plants bloomed in March and they began to yellow and wither away in May. Those beautiful hearts brightened up my aunt's garden, but they only lasted for two measly months. Summer happened.

Yes, that's the problem with perennials, they only last a few weeks, but the good thing is that they come back every year.
