Cleaning The Rugs

Today is the day my daughters decided to clean our rugs. I don't know if this is a good idea or a bad one but since I'm not the one doing the work I can't complain. I got a Bissell rug shampooer and carpet cleaner a week ago and have wanted to get the rugs cleaned for awhile. My youngest daughter isn't working today and her sister said she would come over to help. The whole house has hardwood floors except for the stairs and the hallway upstairs. There isn't a lot of carpet but it is looking really dingy and dirty. Bad move on my part to choose a carpet of a light brown color (darker than beige and lighter than a milk chocolate). I wanted something neutral but now it's really looking dirty. We have snow coming later in the day, my grandchildren are getting out of school early and will probably come with their mom and keep me company while the rugs are getting shampooed. I'll be happy to see how much cleaner the rugs will look and even if they aren't perfect they have to be better than how they look now. That's my exciting plans for today.
