The Spirits Or Ghost

This is going to be one of those discussions that either you believe or you don`t, Spirits or ghost, much like believing in God and the Son Jesus. Some don`t some do.
Since my mother died when I was very young I can not ask her why she did some of the things I seen her do, but now that its happening to me I am sure I know. Since I have did my research and learned I know what and the reason for putting out salt around our house, for blessing our bedroom when we where very young.
I think we bot mom and me, have the ability to see, feel and hear things we should not be able to.
This is not a constant in my life but there seems to be cycles when they come to me, or maybe I have let my guard down, I am not sure exactly. But the past few days things are strange here.
Last week I was in bed reading and it was after midnight, something strange happened. It felt as though someone blew cigarette smoke into my mouth, the taste and smell was strong. Of course I said aloud "Go away and leave me alone, I can`t help you." and that was that. No more happened and I went to sleep.
But.....
Yesterday I was alone in the house, listening to music and washing dishes, I actually was singing too. The cat was stretched out, laying at full length, watching, no staring at me, and listening to me sing. Then it happened again, same thing smoke filled mouth with taste and smell but no real smoke in the air.
I said the same words as before, "leave me alone I can`t help you." The cat never took his eyes off of me.
Today after I finished cleaning up the floors and wiping down dust webs in the corners, I will salt the house. I learned to do this from the Medium Amy Allen. It does help, this is the first spirit to bother me in very long time.
No is the answer to people smoking here. I quit in 2005 and Tony quit 14 months ago. My sister does not smoke around us, unless I go into her house and I havent in a long time because of me being sick.
Now do you believe or are you laughing at me now ?

I´m not laughing at you. There are things that do not have an explanation.
The second time I was robbed and after they even stole my just bought puppy, my eldest daughter brought quartz and something called "palo santo" in Spanish. She placed quartz in every corner of the house, put sea salt in every room and lit the palo santo and went from place to place with it (a delicious aroma extended everywhere). She concentrated when she did that.
After it, she told me not to take out the salt for at least 3 days. The quartz rocks are still there. And she brought me later a chain with a quartz to wear. I still have it. And I haven´t moved the rocks. Who knows?

@andriaperry I feel a lot better since my daughter did that. The second time I was robbed, the burglars did not take so much (the first one took it all) but they were very aggressive, judging by the way they left the house.

I believe you, because I also have experienced weird phenomena during my life. Right now the light of the basement turns on and off by itself, always on Sunday. We cannot explain everything. Usually the animals feel when there is a "presence" in the room. Willy (the cat of my neighbor) comes inside for a visit every day. I remember one day that he suddenly got scared, meowed and rushed out of the door. I felt a cold spot in the corridor.

@kobesbuddy This is what I also believe. It happens that I feel my legs extremely cold and a minute later the cold is gone.

@LadyDuck Yes, it's their presence in the room. The Holy Spirit doesn't affect us that way.

I think that anything is possible. I cannot understand the mindset of "If I cant see it, then its not true". Personally, I have not encountered such beings. But I will not turn a blind eye to it.

I am not laughing. I know that there are things beyond us. I choose not to follow them, however. I have had the "smoke" experience. Not in my mouth but in the air, only in one place in my former house. There are practical reasons also to salt the floors of the house although this is the first I have heard of it for a spiritual purpose. I hope it solves your smokey problem.

I don't believe in ghosts because I have never seen one but there is no reason for you to lie about something like this so I am inclined to believe it. I do think certain abilities are genetic as my mother and I both dream things before they happen. I took a screenshot the last time of two messages I sent people about dreams I had of them which turned out later to be true.. Two pregnancies. That way people see I wasn't making it up when I say I dreamt what was going to really happen. You salt outside the house or inside I'm wondering although I don't feel the need to do that here.

spirits are real, at least to me, but I am not sensitive to them although I do get some weird feelings when I awake as if I'd had a dream I was supposed to remember but I never can. If we can believe in invisible gods then why not spirits, the native americans did and that's good nough for me,

My daughter believes in such things. I am open to it cause who is around to say yay or nay?? Years ago my Mom lived in one of those low income senior buildings. My daughter and I visited, staying over night. Next morning daughter told us about a stranger lady that had been in Mom's kitchen, walking around. Mom said that she'd seen her, too, another time.

Since I have seen, felt and heard things I'm not laughing at you. Hubby and Tessa hear things too at times. Seems ours is a little bit of a prankster, they will be in another room of the house and come in and say, "Yes." and I will be like "Hmmm, " it has gotten to where they just roll their eyes and go about what they are doing. Now I have seen and felt things, but never hear things. Weird how it works sometimes.
Our old house was very active, in fact my brother moved in the middle of the night because it scared him so much.

Why is salt supposed to protect one from evil spirits? I do believe in the spirit world, but not in ghosts. I believe what people call ghosts are demons in disguise who may be pretending to be people you knew. That's what I believe, but that doesn't make me right. Perhaps some are angels. I think we have to be able to discern which is which, and we can't necessarily tell by their appearance since both angels and demons can change their appearance. What I have learned is to not seek any spirit but the Holy Spirit. Any other can be deceiving and lead me into spiritual danger.

No way I seek any! I pray to God, I reckon that is talking. I wished I did not see, feel, smell or any of that stuff with the people who have passed.
Salt is supposed get rid of the bad, as you sprinkle its around the room you say " in the name if Jesus all bad spirits must leave" and you end it by tossing salt out the open door.
I have cleaned the house many times and I have not replaced any salt. This has worked for me.

I would not laugh at something that seems so real to you. @LadyDuck has that ability to sense what most of us cannot. I lived in a house growing up in San Antonio where there were strange sounds and it seemed that a being was living in the attic.

We cannot explain everything we experience. I hear footsteps during the night and I know that nobody is in the house. Always at the same time and never in winter. I know it sounds weird, but it happens and I still cannot understand "who" is asking for help.

I have only been scared of one, a man I did not know screaming at me, when I told him to leave and not come in the house he went outside and came running at me. I have not seen that one anymore.
