The sky looked a lot different some several million years ago.

My last discussion When they ask ... had a nice pic of palm trees on an island in a tropical area of the current period of this century. But the pic in this discussion is all about what it looked like several million years ago, when prehistoric creatures dominated the planet earth. If you think about it, we are the first and only species with the capability to look back in time, using art images to see things as they once looked, before man even existed and I find that a very interesting thing to discuss. Tell me what you think about this pic and what history of time would you like to see or be in just to take a look at things the way they were, before you were even born or perhaps even before any human ever walked the planet earth? Ancient civilizations are a very good topic to discuss to put things into perspective. Something tells me I will not get many responses on this, or maybe I am wrong. Maybe this discussion will get lots of responses. I will wait and see. Meantime, here is a link for you to take a look at.

That would be very exciting to see. I for one like the videos on YouTube that show computerized animations of what things looked like back in ancient Rome and Greece. Have you seen this particular video from YouTube?
It is a promo of the large and high detailed 3D reconstruction of the center of ancient Rome. We are working with it for several years, and the final product...

I would love to see what the people looked like of the ancient celtic world, I think those who lived 2000 years before the event of Christ is facinating.

You are right about that for sure @lookatdesktop I think archaeologists and anthropologists usually try to come up with a reasonable facsimile of what they think it might have been like .... ahhh well, we'll never know for sure.

@rebelann , Not currently in our lifetime maybe, but in the future, perhaps, one day. This article seems to be slightly relevant at least to an extent.

I think that would be lots of fun to visit that time period. and I imagine if you were able to see things as they truly were back in those days, you might have to re-write history for that particular civilization.

Or you might be labeled as a supernatural being. That could create a whole mess of things for the earth. You might get the idea you could actually take over the planet.

I'm very happy in the present, although I loved visiting sites throughout the world. Many are still a mystery with nothing but theories.

Sometimes, theories are all we have to work with.
