Online sales are up-or are they?

Several people we know sell online regularly and are happy with the results. One person new to this is especially surprised how Facebook pages and local yard sale pages are earning the money he had hoped for. As more of us try to avoid the great world of shopping in large malls and more, this might be our future. We would be happy to skip shopping away from home also. How about you?

So much opportunity through the internet. Now we don't have to go shopping in malls if we don't want to.

There are things that I like to buy online, but there are things that I want to see and touch before buying. I never buy clothes online.

@PatZAnthony Not everything that looks good on a catalog, looks good when you wear it.

I prefer shopping in stores. I enjoy feeling fabrics, looking for quality fruits and veggies, and all that.

Sometimes we find the stores best @DianneN But at 2 a.m. on a snowy day, we can order what we need and get it in a day or so. Crazy world!

I love to shop on-line. I would love to know how to sell crafts on-line. Is selling on-line hard to do?

Try a website called Etsy. It is for artists and crafters who have items to sell.

I shop online a lot but there are things I want to see before buying. Some clothing, for instance, shoes to be sure they fit well, and most food. I don't buy much canned food, but have bought some, plus things like yeast and special flours.

Listing things for sale on Facebook is free and easy. I haven't sold on eBay in about 8 years since they kept raising fees so much.

Anne has an Etzy shop and has had some sales there lately. I like online shopping, but with the malls failing there will be many people out of work.

Yes @JamesHxstatic the malls are failing here too and now another KMart close to us is closing. We can't help these things as the world changes.

I LOVE online shopping, especially when I can have gifts mailed directly to our kids and grandkids. It makes life so much easier for me.

When buying groceries, I like to touch feel and smell fresh foods. Canned goods and other household items, maybe buying online would be better.

I do know that online shopping would eventually displace brick and mortar shopping centers.

Indeed online selling is now becoming more and more. At facebook especially here, they really post their clothes and other items for sale. Sometimes, I have to delete them from my friends so they won't flood my notifications, which is so annoying.

I do a lot of online shopping but mostly for food. The few things I might need other than food are usually not essential to my survival so I generally put them on hold until I find the right price. Believe it or not clothes can sometimes be cheaper online and also the variety may be better as well, it just depends on which online stores you buy from.

Those little shops you mentioned usually put too high a price on their items to make their shop all that competitive @PatZAnthony it seems as if these small shops want us to feel guilty for trying to get more for our bucks.

It is interesting how the online world works @rebelann We find good deals online and times and do take advantage of these. While we feel bad about local shops not getting our business, the prices are too high and we have to do what is best for us.

I like to order online but not from Facebook and sites like Craigslist. I order from Amazon or Walmart or Target I don't want to go to someone's house to pick things up, I am not convinced it is safe.
