Ok I have a question for you I was looking up recipes for fruit leather/ fruit roll-ups on Pinterest and most of them are to do in oven. My question is would you prefer to do it in the oven or in a dehydrator? I have never done neither one and would like to try both. Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I made some for my son's class . . . they went in the oven because we don't have a dehydrator. Because it's on very low heat, it takes a while . . . can you believe I didn't have it to the right consistency until 10 hours later (maybe I made them too thick).

Have you made them since making them for your sons class? If so how did itt go any better than the first time?

@Tina30219 No, I haven't. I forgot how now much time it should have taken, but I just remember touching the fruit leather and it was just way too sticky . . . it was a nightmare wondering when this fruit leather would be done! IF I ever try it again, I wouldn't make it so thick.

A dehydrator works a lot better.
