Plans Change Due to Snow

Yesterday I said my daughters were going to shampoo my carpet but after our plans were made the weather changed and my daughter felt it was too risky to drive over here. So now the rugs are going to get done over the weekend (fingers crossed).
The weather got bad here earlier than predicted yesterday, then it cleared up and then by 10pm it started to snow.
So, this morning I woke up to the plow coming down the street which means a significant amount of snow fell during the night. From my guesstimate there's about 6 inches piled up out there and it's still snowing lightly.
As much as I'm fed up with this winter already I have to admit it does look pretty. The fir trees in the back of my house are all covered in snow which makes it look like Christmas has reappeared.
Since today will definitely be an inside day I'm hoping to catch up a bit here. I always feel like I miss so much when I'm not here.

I'm happy for you that you are enjoying your snow. It's always pretty when it's pristine. No snow here, and you know how happy I am about that. Out to dinner tonight with NY friends we met in Norway. This will be our third dinner with them in Florida. They visit family every year.

@Marilynda1225 Thank you! They are so nice and her husband keeps us in stitches! He's so hilarious and quick witted. If they were bores, we wouldn't be friends. lol
We are thrilled to be here! I've never been busier. We play golf, tennis, sail, shop like crazy, eat out with friends or family, walk, bike ride, entertain, hang out at the pool, beach, club house, go to museums, musicals, parties, the theater, etc. When I have time, lol, I try to myLot, read, or relax with my hubs. The weather is a pure pleasure. I chuckle to myself when people say it's warming up to above freezing or the sun is shining up north. I feel so blessed to have this condo on the water here in what I call Paradise. It truly is a paradise.

I woke up to about 6 inches of snow as well. I shoveled and we've gotten at least another inch since. This is the most snow we have gotten so far and I hope it's the last we get although I know it won't be. I had the same thought as you how pretty it looked with all the trees covered and the white sky.

It's picturesque and pretty when it first falls but then it's just a nuisance. Thankfully I live in a community where we have a snow removal company so I don't have to shovel.

I miss the snow! I know it can get messy and change a lot of things though.

@Marilynda1225 It is beautiful, but oh so horrible to be out in (for me anyway). I hope you get the finished this weekend. It was 13 last night and will be 69 on Saturday.

I kind of thought it would be snowing all day so I am "housebound." I am making some calls on one of mystery shops..which is crazy as this place does not seem to want to answer the phone. I hate when that happens. I am going to get off the computer in a minute though and work on cleaning my junk drawer..something I have done at least twice before..but it keeps collecting junk!!

I hope you can get the rugs done this weekend. Today was swimming, a hair cut, and shopping. Aldi's doesn't have a mobile cart so I'm hurting, but it feels good to have it done.

We're still waiting for the drizzle to clear away so we can do a bit more with preparations for our concerts. We have lights to put up but don't want to do it if it is going to rain. Luckily they don't take too long to do.
