Have you ever wanted a stethoscope?

I would buy one if I saw one affordably at a yardsale. I am not sure if I ever listened to a heartbeat through one and I would like to. I would also like to listen for blood flow. My cousins are nurses one is actually a nurse practitioner but I don't have that kind of work ethic and I don't generally care for blood and guts. I would enjoy having a stethoscope though. Maybe it would help me listen to private conversations..

i have one for when my cats get sick,so i can hear any lung problems.

Yes, I would listen to my cats lungs too..he has a breathing issue so I would like to know what his lungs sound like. He seems pretty darn healthy though so we haven't gone to the vet..but it might be in order.

I was kind of kidding about that..but I can think of times when having a stethoscope would come in handy. Of course I like to play amateur physician anyway.

My ex actually had one and i used it when i was pregnant to see if i could hear the babies heartbeat but couldnt lol not even with the baby heartbeat monitor i bought.

Oh hmm, that would have been exciting to hear the baby's heartbeat. I remember being extremely excited about my son's heartbeat when he was in utero.

@Courtlynn I just remember that funny wooshing sound..but I think the doctor may have let me listen to the heartbeat. I know I heard it. That was a happy day!

When my former roomie was here, he used to talk in his room with the door shut all the time. I was always thinking it would be interesting to eavesdrop..and I could have held a glass to the wall..but with my luck I would have been caught..pretty hard to make up an excuse for that..
..although I never did it..you have to respect someone's privacy especially in this kind of living situation!
