Out of order, out of sorts

Today we went back to school with a delayed starting time of ten a.m. So there was no school breakfast, no assembly, some had no music, some had no PE, some had no recess at all. No one went outside to play. I am glad the weather will be better tomorrow. Our class room in particular, with its special needs was really out of sorts.

Teachers didn't like indoor recess even when I went to school. Kids get restless if they don't get heir normal fresh air and exercise.

It helps if we can at least go to the gym. The one little guy cannot be convinced that playing games in the classroom or coloring is recess.

@GardenGerty I don't think I would be convinced either.

I think it is because of the delayed days. I hope there will be no out of sorts once everything gets back to its normalcy.

We had no school today and my daughter has a doctors appointment tomorrow so she will have another day off. One good thing with cyber school is since there are no snow days there are no days to make up in the summer. The public school has closed twice so far this year I think if not more.

Most districts around here build in about three snow days for the year. Last year we dismissed two and a half days early because we had not used our snow days.

@GardenGerty oh very cool! I don't think we have ever had a year with not a single snow day but some years were let out about 8 days earlier then usual in the summer so those year must have just been a few snow days was all.

That sounds like a recipe for disaster. I bet many of the kids did not learn much.

Some children don't cope well when out of their usual routine.
