In the past I had never considered to buy second hand stuffs because I was not sure about the quality. Since we will have a two weeks travel next month. Sometimes I am a little busy at work and actually I keep myself online except when I am sleeping. So I decided to buy a second hand mini laptop so that it will be convenient for me to handle some works on my travel. As a new mini laptop is still very expensive and I don't think I really need to spend so much for it. After all, most of the time I work in the office. I also have computer at home. I bought a 10' laptop at the end and I am happy to it. It works well. In fact it seems it has used for about a year.

I bought a small laptop two years ago when they were on sale. I only use it when I travel. Do you have a plug adapter to use in the United States?

Hi there, purchasing electronic items in second hand is not so advisable. I prefer 1st hand itself and we get guarantee also. If any minor repairs they do it. If it is second hand then we can't ask them anything.

Of course the brand new digital stuffs will be ideal. But so far it is very expensive to buy it and actually it is not so necessary for me. As long as this second hand laptop works well, that'll be fine for me.

my first netbook is a second hand. I bought it from my officemate. It helped me a lot to do online stuff like this. It's a memorable one but sad to say I sold it to the original owner before moving here in my current job

Thats an awesome deal! I usually buy second hand, before I go for new... unless its a real good deal. Its better for the environment and helps on a budget!

It's good that you are happy with your new laptop. Hope it works perfectly for you. I don't dare to buy second hand stuff, especially computer or electrical appliances too, same as you, I don't know if they are still in good condition. Enjoy your trip next month!

Yes, in the past I also had the same worry. But now due to nice price and it is not out of the expiry date yet, so I'd like to take a risk.

I am also open to buying a second-hand item as long as the item is still in good condition and the price is low. But as of now, I prefer to have a brand new laptop because I am planning to teach my son's girlfriend to write online. This would help her to get an additional amount for her studies and at the same time can help her develop the skill which I believe she truly needs in her chosen career path. She is taking up law.

Since I already have enough desktops and laptops, I don't want to spend more money to buy a new but small one. I only use it when I go out and I think the chances will not be so many

Some second-hand things are quite okay but it is a bit of a gamble. I hope you get good use out of your laptop.
