What you see on TV

I don't watch much TV these days. In fact, except for Doctor Who, and some TV with my wife, I really don't watch any, except the weather. Now, I would've watched the weather earlier this week, because we had some extreme weather here, except I couldn't find my remote. Well, tonight I spotted my remote and wondered how long this latest cold snap was going to last - answer is that its going to be 70 this weekend. Still, I had to wait until the weather came on, after I turned on the TV. The announcer said something about the new tax bill and pizza. I thought, 'oh, a pie chart.' So, I turned around and, yeah, a PIZZA pie chart, the lady doing the article was using pizza as the reference. Then, a face appeared on the screen. I yelped out my brother's name. Yes, my BROTHER was on the TV talking about the new tax bill. Needless to say, it now had my undivided attention. I had to text my sister and brother that I had seen him. So, why was my brother on TV talking about the tax bill? Well, he is a CPA, so he really does know something about taxes.

Why did he not inform you? He should have! He would have a copy of that recording to show to kids, possibly on youtube, and say well, there was a time when I had my hair even if it is all gone now. So I qualify as a human being. lol. Kidding. It does feel nice to have family member up there, talking intelligent things, or simply getting others to see and listen to them. If he was an Indian, at least 200 households would have been forewarned. lol

His only daughter is 32, I'm his only relative in town and this was on a news station that is broadcast for this area. I was just so surprised that out of all the CPAs in this area, he was selected - or maybe he knows the lady doing the report.

@vandana7 well, while we grew up in Austin, we have no other relatives in Austin - that we know about anyway. Friends and clients would just have to discover it like I did, the U. S. is much more about privacy, if anyone had asked for a list of friends and clients, people would start looking for "Big Brother" like in the book "1984."
