Walking In A Winter Wonderland

The predicted temperatures for this coming weekend are the mid 40s F. Early in the week, though, it was cold. Very cold. Around zero cold. On Tuesday, I decided to walk to the local yarn store which is about 6 or 7 blocks away. I thought I had better check online to see what the temperature was. Five degrees! I put on layers of clothing so that I would stay warm while walking to the yarn store. I wore a thermal shirt, a short sleeved t-shirt, a long-sleeved knit shirt, 2 pairs of socks, a pair of knit pants, jeans, a jacket, a wool winter coat, another winter coat, 2 scarves, a hat, 2 pairs of gloves, and winter boots. Whew!! About halfway to the store, I started feeling the weight of all that extra clothing I had on, especially at the tops of my shoulders. I should have weighed myself to see how much all the clothing and boots and such weighed! I'll tell you one thing. I didn't get cold!

This is the problem wearing many layers of clothing, you get tired for the weight.
