Left Overs

I chopped and I seasoned. I stirred and I poured. I cut and I added as I worried over whether this would taste as good as I remembered. Ingredients doubled so that it would last two or three days instead of just one. One bowl devoured and a quick thanks is all I got. The next days leftovers found but only two (of three) to enjoy it's sustenance. This is the day in my life. I haven't the energy to be aggravated at the person whom didn't partake in today's leftovers, but I will certainly remember next time not to make so much. Do you eat left overs?

I never cook enough for there to be leftovers. My Husband is a piggy. :)

I have to admit that I am a bit of a piggy myself. The first day I cooked this (Pepper Steak) I only had two small bowls. Yesterday when I reheated it? I had two small bowls again but it filled me up a lot faster and I was regretting that second bowl halfway through it. I have enough left over for today but I plan to eat some at lunch and throw out the rest. It's hamburger steak for us tonight, and I won't make enough for there to be leftovers, that's for sure.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Usually, the second serving is not a good idea.

I eat mostly leftovers! Unless it's a simple sandwich it is hard not to make enough for more than one person.

I have always made too much. It's just the way I was raised. Of course I have someone here who will eat more than his share if you let him. I constantly have to say "Okay I made two rolls a piece" otherwise I go back for the rest of my share of the rolls and they are gone.

Food is almost always better the next day.

I usually cook what is enough for the two of us and no more. I only have leftovers when I have guests and we eat the leftovers of course.

There are three of us living here now and we are trying to eat healthier and at home more. That is why I made left overs. In all actuality, I am the only one who really likes the left overs. If I re heat the left overs and fix a bowl for one person, he will eat it. The other one will not.

Yes, of course. Its a waste of food or even money to just throw the leftovers. I like the leftover pizza as my breakfast. I'll just reheat it and voila, breakfast!

I am not much for pizza and I definitely do not eat it left over. I am picky that way. I used to be married to a man who could eat pizza for all three meals. We've been divorced for eight years now but I still can't stomach much pizza.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Well, I couldn't eat pizza for all three meals. Two meals at most only. You're more of a pasta?

@JSAph8888 Yes, I guess you could say I prefer pasta over pizza.
