We have a storm coming in today, already started really with rain and fog. However, it's turning over to freezing rain, and that means ice before it turns to snow later today.
The road crews are out salting the roads. I've seen a truck every few minutes going by salting. Everyone knows ice on the roads spells disaster to drivers.
I wish we weren't getting the freezing rain, but according to the model I saw, which doesn't look like any of the projected models from last week, the rain/snow mix isn't supposed to last very long, and supposed to turn to all snow before the end of the day and snow all day tomorrow.
Northern Wisconsin is being hammered. They are predicting 8-12 inches of snow and they are the lucky ones without any rain/snow mix leading to icy roads. Our prediction is 1-2 inches. Not a lot, but it's going to be messy.
I didn't go to the pool today, and not because of the weather. I got hit with a cold with flu like symptoms yesterday. I felt like a mac truck hit me. One of the reasons why I was up so early yesterday. I'm having a hard time breathing at night. I put a nice Vicks film over my sinuses and nostrils to try to breathe so I could sleep. I'm doing everything I can to knock this out before it gets comfortable. I have every intention of being back in the pool tomorrow, but we'll see what happens.

Sad you've got a bug and am curious if you got your flu shot- it doesn't cover every flu but may help in the long run. Be sure to take your Vitamin C and a few times per day will really help!

@MarymargII When I was in boot camp and they were getting read to inoculate us for everything under the sun, they asked if I had any allergies. When I told them I was allergic to chicken, they said I couldn't have the flu shot.

I'm hibernating in my office with the door closed and my fleece jammies on. It's toasty in here, so I'm hoping I can knock it on it's ear. I hate being down and out.

@just4him No, we haven't had any real snow or ice yet. Usually, we only get it once a year. I hope you can stay home and safe while all that is going on.

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hope it isn't the flu. My eldest daughter had the flu and was down for the count for many days.
The weather is moderate here. Supposed to get rain in a day or two. It will most likely melt more of the snow away and cause flooding for some areas. This will mean we will have a mud pit in our driveway. It can suck the boots right off your feet.
Hoping to get more snow at some point. Yeah, can't believe I am hoping for more snow. We need it in order for Little Miss to go sledding. Other than than I could care less about getting more snow. LOL.

I hate that mud sucking sound on shoes and boots. I hope you do get some snow so Little Miss can go sledding. What is winter without taking to the hills? I'm looking forward to snow as well.
Right now, I'm feeling okay. So I'm hoping this is leaving as fast as it came.

We don't have much snow but got a bit more today. What I hate is that the temperatures went down again. Right now we have -5 C or 23 F.

I'm so sorry you are so ill. Everyone I know who had those same symptoms eventually needed an antibiotic and cough medicine, and felt much better within 24-48 hours. Hope you heal quickly.
It's in the high 70s with a light breeze off the water. Great for walking and bicycling.

We've had the rain since yesterday, with predictions of snow and ice for tonight and tomorrow. Right now, our thermometer reads about 36 degreesF. Sure hope you are feeling a lot better:)

The weather here is fine. Hope you can cope up with the weather. I feel like having a cold again since it's a bit colder in the morning. My mom has a cough due to cold wind at night from aircon

@just4him The sun is always out. We are close to the equator and so we have beautiful weather all year round. It is only when I read of how tough other people have it, that I truly appreciate what we take for granted. I hope your storm is not a severe one and that you can weather it out. I am presuming that you are all prepared?

It is messy here, but it is getting better. I am so glad you are only getting 1-2 inches. Northern Wisconsin is really getting it. I hope you feel better. I still have it in my throat and have had it since way before Christmas. Vicks is good at a time like this. Prayer is best. I will be praying for you. Also, I hope that pool is inside. :)
