I had been thinking the rocker Tom Petty had died purely from a heart attack. But, after a complete autopsy was done, it was determined the main cause of death was an accidental opioid overdose.
I didn't realize how many ailments he had. He knee issues and a fractured hip. He even toured his last major tour with the fractured hip. He was on many pain medications like Fentanyl, oxicodone among others,
It is sad to think about.

It's a sad and sobering reminder of exactly why I'd rather deal with pain. Pain never killed anyone. Addictions and overdoses, however accidental, are often fatal.
I miss Tom Petty. He was a great musician.

And doctors aren't helping to stop the problem either @LeaPea2417 .

I did read that more and more cities and counties are suing the Opioid Providers. A couple of months ago, I heard on the Atlanta news that one of the Counties that Atlanta sits in , Fulton County, is suing the Opioid Providers and that made me happy to know. I then heard some place else say it too.

He must have loved what he was doing to keep doing it with all his health conditions.
