I'm taking a trip this year with my oldest daughter. We try to take one together once a year since she lives so far away and so far we've done a coast line trip, cruise, amusement park and road trip. This year is Hurricane Mills, Loretta Lynn's ranch. She doesn't know it yet but she usually leaves the destination planning up to me. I'm thinking around May or September we'll go. Loretta Lynn's ranch has tours at the plantation mansion, coal mine, Coal Miner's Daughter museum and replica of Loretta's childhood Butcher Holler. There is a RV camp ground, cabins for rent, western store, mill shop, country store, and concerts/events. Do you have plans this year for adventure?

Unfortunately, I have no more projects for years. First I have to be able to settle down. Sometimes I feel ashamed that at the age of 42, I still live dependent on my parents! Anyway, I wish you a good trip!

Don't feel ashamed. Sometimes we have to be dependent on others for a time. I live with my youngest daughter and husband on their ranch. I need to be close for help when needed. It's very hard on an independent person.

@noni1959 What I have to commit to be, an independent person. I would thus have achieved a great goal in my life. But instead, I am currently still.

@alberello75 Never give up your dreams. Even when it looks like they will never happen.

That sounds a really lovely place for a holiday with your daughter. I'm sure you'll enjoy it - and later you'll be able to share it all with us!

It's amazing by the photos and following the Facebook site. I am a huge fan of Loretta Lynn. She never lost her humble beginnings and a true kind person.

I have no plans at all for this year, it's too early to know when we will be free to move around.

I like to make plans even when they have to be switched around. It's fun to plan out and when I can finally go I have my "want to" done.

That's such a sweet thing to do with your daughter! We are working on plans, but are spending the winter at our Florida home.

One of my nieces lives in Orlando and I hope to fly to see her sometime this summer. This year I can do a bit of travel and then after it will be less since I retired on less income. I'm planning a couple small trips and one at least a week or two.

I don't actually make plans. Whatever may come that's the only time I can think about it.

I would love to wake up and just go but even with retirement, I have to think of my health and what else is on the agenda. Planning works better for me.

I hope you get to some day. There is so much here in Oregon I'll be exploring but have a few out of state trips to check off my bucket list too.

That stuff does not interest me. I am not sure but I don't like traveling too much. I have been a few places but nothing to where I had to venture out.

I have a friend like this. She rather be home or the occasional movie, restaurant or museum. I like being home but also like exploring places. Many times I find fun things in my own backyard.
