It's a day off

I got a message from the school board saying that the schools and daycares are closed due to the weather. We got snow last night and we're supposed to get some freezing rain. So, no wonder it's closed. I'm kind of glad. It gives us all a day off from school, daycare, drop off and pick ups. Plus, my eldest woke up a few times last night. So, it can't hurt to let them rest a little bit more.

I stayed home from the pool this morning because of the icy roads from all the rain we got yesterday. I hope they are all happy to have the day off.

That's definitely a good idea. Sometimes, it's better to stay home than risk getting hurt and such. My kids do seem happy to have a day off.

@dodo19 There was still some slick ice around the car this morning when I went to the pool, but I managed okay. Kids always love a day off from school.

It was a bit rainy here in St Catharines today, and I heard that it was super foggy in Toronto... planes were being delayed, etc.

Here in NC we hardly get snow and when we do, everything closes. I used to enjoy it because it meant staying home.
