Some Craziness You Didn't Know

My sweet hubby had stitches removed from his left index finger yesterday. The weekend before last, he cut his finger with a kitchen knife, accidentally of course, while slicing cheese. That was the weekend Trump graced us with his presence again. Our sister-in-law saw his jet about to land. The Trumpettes threw a ball for him at Mar-a-Lago, while over 500 anti-Trump nonsupporters gathered in a march. He was due to arrive this past weekend, but stayed in Washington D.C. due to the brink of the government shutdown. Speaking of marches, the Ice Princess marched in New York City for the second year in a row. She's the one in the photo wearing the pink hat she knitted last year. And finally, our younger son's new bride is very concerned. The artistic director of the famous regional theater, where she is Director of Education, was accused by many women of inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment. We read all about it in The New York Times. Now I'm off for my morning walk and a game of tennis. I shall see you later. I must clear my head with exercise.

Sorry to hear about your husband's finger - and the artistic director too. Love the 'cat hat'. Is that what they're called?

Thanks Judy. My husband doesn't seem to have a scar! The artistic director is a known sicko, and the theater should have gotten rid of him in 2003, when his first of many disgusting reports were filed. The hat is known here as a "p*ssy" hat, thanks to Trump's filthy views and exploitation of women. MyLot wouldn't let me use that word in quotations. Just pop a "u" in there instead of the asterisk. lol

Hello @DianneN How is your husband now? I hope he's recovering from the injury. I have actually watch the youtube video of the woman's march last night and lots of celebrities had made remarkable speech on it. I don't wanna take sides though because the media tends to manipulate every thing regardless of the party affiliate they are with.

Oh my - hope your Hubby's finger is ok!! Oh the marches . . . we had one this weekend - the women's march - in downtown where we just happened to be - um, being about the very thing that artistic director you mentioned may be in trouble with. The Ice Princess is adorable as always!!!

@DianneN Get Hubs one of those wire cheese cutters . Oh man, so the stuff they're saying about the artistic director is true? It's sad is career is now messed up, but well, he should have thought of that before he did what he did.

Hubs is just fine now, thank goodness. Yes, I saw the women's marches in your area, in Chicag, and New York. Lots of issues! The artistic director is finished for good. I feel horrible for his poor wife, but he deserves to go. He was overly impressed with himself and thought the women, including a lesbian couple, would be, too. No so. Thank you!!!

I'm glad you pointed out that was your granddaughter. I have a time telling your grandchildren apart sometimes and thought that might be your grandson. I also thought they were happy about the Patriots win. Okay, so that photo is completely explained. I'm sorry about the trouble at the theater. I hope you had a good tennis game and cleared your head.

Yes, it's a hair thing. He wears a headband like his favorite sports figures do now. No, we are not Patriots or Eagle fans at all. Nor are we Trump supporters. My DIL is worried that donations to the theater will die off because of him. I won the tennis game!!!! I'm getting my jive back. Lol!

@DianneN Good to hear you won your tennis game and you've got your jive back. A hairband is one way to keep it out of his eyes. So I take it you won't be watching the game. If I do, which is doubtful, it would only be for the commercials. The only time I watch commercials. They are usually funny and good. I don't know why donations to the theater would die off. People aren't going to stop going to the theater just because he's in office.

Sorry to hear about your hubby's finger. It will heal soon. Your grand daughter knows already how to knit? That is awesome. She is cute. I learned knitting at the age of 23.

Thank you. He heals quickly it seems. Yes, my granddaughter learned last year. Her mother taught her and helped her with a few missed or loose stitches. Her mother learned when she was pregnant with my granddaughter. I can knit, but can't cast on or off. I have an extremely long unfinished scarf.

Oh dear. Trump sure does go there a lot, doesn't he? I thought he just got back. I hope husband's finger is ok. I hope the stitches came out alright. I had my staples removed yesterday. I was scared but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I can stop calling myself "office depot" now.

The news is very disturbing all the way around. We have seen the Ice Princess enough that I believe I can recognize her sweet face. Ouch about the finger, my son has a bad tendency to hurt his hands as well.

I agree. The news is very disturbing. I'm so happy you can recognize my little ice princess. Perhaps one day you will see her on TV in Nationals or the Olympics. Let me know, because I'll faint if she makes it that far. lol. Funny you said that about your son. Both of our sons have had their share of hand and arm injuries, too.
