My Return on a Dreary Day

Well, it's a new year and I've decided to try my hand at writing here again. My life has been, as usual, a roller coaster. But today I'm waiting for UPS to come and pick up a package and it's a gray day with a lot of rain and wind. All I want to do today is write and so I've come here to see if I can put a few words together that make any sense to anyone! I hope everyone is doing well. I've seen some of you on FB, which is nice. It's a good place for me to keep in touch with people. I've managed to gather a few new local friends online and that sure keeps me going. Can't really say that much of anything is new. But that's just fine with me. I rather enjoy a quiet, boring life. Books and movies entertain me, but not as much as my cat, Timothy. He's 8 months old now and quite large. Don't know what he weighs at this point (he bites me if I try to weigh him), but when he gets on top of me in bed, it really hurts! He weighs a lot more than my previous cat. And so far, everyone who has come to visit has gotten a love bite from him. And some just aren't amused (neither am I). Hope you're having better weather than I am! Claudia

So nice to hear from you. Timothy is adorable. My cat Sid is 12 and a real character. He eats like a horse and then had muscle weight. He looks thin but pick him up and he is heavy. Sometimes he loves to sleep on my hip at night. Sid sends his sincerest meows to Timothy. Here is a great shot of him.

Sid is a real beauty! I'd like to say that Timothy will meow back to Sid but I haven't heard a meow out of him yet. He makes noises and he does purr, but nothing in the manner of a meow like any of my previous cats. I guess he's the dark, silent type! lol

@CRK109 interesting you say that. Just wait for a time. We adopted Sid when he was four and at that time it seemed he could not meow at all. He actually squeaked since he had been abused we figured he was scared to make noise. Well several years later he had his voice and his meow could make you fall out of a chair. Today he is strong and forceful and boy, I sure hear every meow.

I enjoy a quiet, boring life too!!! Timothy is adorable!!! We had a black kitty, Missy, who was a biter. We loved her, but were cautious when she acted all sweet and loving.

Yes, that describes Timothy, all right! When I go to bed at night and I think he's about to snuggle, he attacks my hands. Last night, I brought a spray bottle to bed with me. Shocked him to no end when he began to bite and I sprayed him and went back to sleep! lol

My roommate's cat is possessed! I am not an animal lover. The cat just will not behave.

I'm just trying to spend less time online. It sounds as though there's a lot of activity online and offline. Hoping there is more fulfillment.

So good to hear your doing well. Books and movies entertain me and family of course. Your cat sounds like he adores you. I don't have any pets so not sure what that's like. Whenever I go to my boyfriends though his cats and dogs adore me and always come right to me lol.

Very happy you are back. It was a very rainy day here as well but I did get to enjoy the warmer temperature a bit. Timothy looks about full grown now.

Are you okay with Timothy even though he bites? When Annabelle was teething she gnawed the heck out of my hands. I'm glad to see you here again. I have hoped you would return.
