Thunder sounds scary but it can't hurt you. Lightning can hurt or kill you. It can set fires, also. You are probably safe if you stay inside and stay away from windows. You have been through a lot of storms and you are safe. You will continue to be safe.

Oh my gosh. I’m terrified of thunderstorms. I’m from the Caribbean and it’s very common during hurricane season (June to November). I put on headphones and play loud music and try not to hear the racket outside.
