The Art Of Global Warming

One of the more unusual photos in my collection is this image of an ice block sculpture containing an iron and steel artificial skeleton, which was left in Manchester City Centre a few years back to melt, as a statement of the effects of global warming.
It took about a month for the giant ice cube to melt (though some passers-by broke chunks off it too), and lowly, the bear-like creature contained within was revealed. I went by every few days to chart its progress and it was very intriguing to see.
It was a unique and successful experiment providing art, mystery, science and general education too.

Very interesting. We've got some warming here. It was quite cold for some days and now all the ice and snow is melting away and the green grass is showing through.

@arthurchappell Where was it? I didn't see it but then again I'm not in the city centre very often.

Interesting. I can't believe people in government actually believe that global warming is a farce.

@celticeagle they don't want to change the way they make money so they are leaving the mess for the next generation. It could be too late by then
