I really hate vegetables when I was a kid and that was back then. But now I simply love eating vegetables. I wonder why are kids so picky eaters? And what are the ways to help a child not to be a picky eaters? (especially vegetables!). Do you love vegetable when you were a child? Picture credit: wholesometummiesblog.com

I have always loved vegetables, except onions. I wouldn't eat them if I could avoid it. I eat them now, though, and I have tried even more veggies as an adult that weren't available to me as a child. I discovered that I love okra as much as I love broccoli, but I don't like karela - that tastes like ear wax and not in a good way. My eldest son would mostly eat anything but I did have some trouble with the youngest. I just give him little bits to try. He's better now, he'll try most things. He doesn't like many things but he will try them! I usually give him a new thing to try that's next to other things I know he will eat. The rule is to try one spoon or forkful of the new food. If he likes it, he eats it all. If he doesn't like it, I wait a while before I sneak it into a curry!
