I started this day way too early for a day I don't go swimming. I was up at 2:40 this morning. I got a lot done before I went back for a nap at 8 and was up again shortly after 9.
My older son showed up unexpectedly last night with a welcome surprise. Usually when he comes he's looking for a handout. Yesterday he paid me back everything I loaned him. It was very welcome. So this morning I went to the bank before I went to my youngest son's to do laundry.
I'm praising God for the wonderful news he gave me. God's grace is what it is, literally. My son suffered the flu for three days, and while at work he almost had an accident that would have caused the loss of his hand. He was very weak, and he had put his hand into the sheet metal press, and becoming weak, he had taken his foot off the pedal, which otherwise would have taken his hand. I'm praising God tonight he has his hand. I shudder to think of the results had his foot not moved off the pedal.
I did two loads of laundry while I was there, then came home and worked on New Horizons for a little while.
So, today was productive and full of praise for my God who kept my son safe this week.
My notifications are finished, so I'm going back to my book. Or might watch something on TV.
How was your day? Thanks for reading.
My younger son is in the middle in red. My older son is on the end with his girlfriend.

That is wonderful, that your son was not hurt and that you got paid back! If I woke up at 2:40 I would never get up unless I knew there was no chance I would get back to sleep..that would throw my whole day off.

@snowy22315 There wasn't any chance of my going back to sleep. I expected my nap to be longer, but it was okay. I had a lot to do yesterday and wanted to get it done early.

Wow you woke up too early. I remember my grandparents waking up at 3 in the morning and they would have coffee together. My grandfather would work in our backyard that early while my grandmother would go around town already and visit the market. I missed them and how they were when they were still staying with us.

@just4him No. They didn't have a farm at all.

I'm usually up that early during the week, as I'm in the pool by 5. Saturday is my day for sleeping in, and then I'm up early again on Sunday. I was hoping to sleep in, but that didn't happen.
Did your grandparents have a farm they worked that they were up so early?

He probably wasn't sick when he went in, or thought he would be okay.

Yes, I'm thanking and praising God every time I think about it. God is so good to his children. I'm very happy my older son proved responsible in paying me back.

@just4him Mari Lyn got in a car accident years back, texting while driving 75mph. on the freeway. She totaled out her ex's car and ended up without one scratch on her body! It was only by the grace of God, that she wasn't killed or didn't kill anyone else. Usually that stretch of highway is packed with traffic. It just so happened, when she lost control there weren't any other cars around.

I've been praising God since he told me. He doesn't realize the grace and mercy of God in keeping him safe. But I do.

He was such a good son to do that for you. They were moments when my brother used to give things to my mom even if she was not asking for it.

Oh, I'm so sorry. You had Smooch for a long time. I know the hole that left for you.
