Who is your funniest TV character currently on TV?

The only TV character that would make me laugh even if I’ve seen the same scene many times before, is Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory. This character is played by Jim Parsons. In the series, he is a socially awkward, self-centred, arrogant genius. Sheldon Cooper character was voted as the funniest current tv character by a survey. Jim Parsons appeared in several movies but none of them were a great success or funny, like the Big Bang Theory. Who is your funniest TV character?
The general public have spoken, crowning socially-awkward scientist Sheldon Cooper as their TV champ ahead of the likes of Homer Simpson.

I have to admit I've never seen this show. Mostly I like British comedies.

I have never watched Big Bang Theory and I do not know Sheldon Cooper. I will have a look.

He is the funniest character in the history of sitcoms. That's my opinion of course. I'm sure you will like it

I love the Big Bang Theory but i don't find Sheldon funny at all. Just a big pain in eye, Lenard is the saving grace for me. I marvel at his self sacrifice in pampering Sheldon. I couldn't do it.

For me Lenard may be a great friend and necessary for the show but he is not that funny.
