I just read an article entitled “ The internet is enabling a new kind of poorly paid hell” It talks about companies like CrowdFlower, Clickworker, Toluna, and Amazon’s Mechanical Turk among others and says they are largely unregulated. They pay pennies and give unreasonable time limits for jobs that should take much longer. In other words they make you work faster, longer hours and pay way less than the job is worth. It seems like slave labor at times and I think many online companies take advantage of people like stay-at home- moms who need money to make ends meet. I am not referring to writing sites but to those internet companies that want you to spend most of your time doing jobs for nothing for which businesses pay them very well. Have you worked for any such internet sites and do you feel it is worth it? https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/careersandeducation/the-internet-is-enabling-a-new-kind-of-poorly-paid-hell/ar-BBIkieX?li=AA54rW&ocid=spartandhp

If you love it it is not slave leaver. You can move on when you get a better offer. I wouldn't work for someone that isn't fare. If you don't feel its fare I'd move on.

That is so but I don't think anyone enjoys being taken advantage of.

Most big companies will try to take advantage when they can . I am not involved in any such internet site - and I hope I won't have to.

I tried one such site once but got out in a hurry after I realized not only were they not paying much but they were deducting from the little you had if you made a mistake.

Me too but I won't be taken advantage of. I do empathise with those who need to make some extra dough but I think some of these internet sites are plain greedy.

What you say is very true. It's a shame that some people have few options if they want to earn a little extra.
