If you are curious about the things around you, you might also consider malware as your computer's enemy. And if you are a fan of freeware, or you know -- an application that you can download and install for free - beware of malware, because most of the times it is bundled with it (even the freeware is proven working and safe). Make sure to read before you proceed in any step of the installation, because sometimes you need to give permission by ticking down a box, but most of the times it is ticked by default. But the best thing there, in order to protect our PC from malware infestation, we need to use Malwarebytes anti-malware. I have a subscription to Malwarebytes premium and my computer has a real-time protection from malware. I have proven that this product works many times already! Not a referral link:
Malwarebytes protects you against malware, ransomware, and other advanced online threats that have made antivirus obsolete and ineffective.

I only have the free version of Malwarebytes and I do manual scanning from time to time, my free Avast handles my real time protection so there is no conflict.

Malwarebytes and Avast are the perfect combinations! I am handling some sensitive clients info including banking details that's why I make sure my computer is extra safe. I am using both premium version of Malwarebytes and avast. There are things, like malware that Avast can handle and vice versa.

@primeaque86 If there is one specific difference I had observed MB could detect, isolate and quarantine PUPs or potentially unwanted programs. My devices have cryptocurrency thats why I continously scan. Avast has better virus detection in real time at least for me.
