Are You A Couch Potato?

Sometimes I think I am. I can sit on the couch or in a recliner and watch hour after hour of my favorite shows.
However, watching to me is keeping and ear out to listen to what is happening while I am doing other things. What other things? Well, counted cross stitch, designing or actually stitching. I might be doing research, paging through a magazine, or making a piece of jewelry.
Most of the time I am writing. I write online in several areas and I am also creating a life for the characters that walk around in my head. No, I am not crazy. I create characters and storylines and give them life.
Do you think of yourself as a couch potato?
If you are always doing something while sitting on the couch and 'watching' TV does that still mean you are a couch potato?
Just asking.

I like your spin on being a couch potato. I spend lots of time sitting in my recliner but like you am busy doing other things while the tv is on in the background. Giving this a second thought I'd say no to being a couch potato.

I am when I have the opportunity to be home the whole day. I would stay in my bed and binge watch old American drama series while crafting. I do that the whole day!

@HazySue Yeah, I take pleasure in that than just napping. I hate taking naps.

@toniganzon I have never been big on naps. I relax or rest by reading, stitching, or playing with beads.

No, I'm not a couch potato. I don't watch television very much and have to be up, walking around. For some reason, I can't sit for any length of time, but have to get up and do something else.

I guess I think of myself as more of a computer desk chair potato . I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but there are many days when I sit here at the computer and can get carried away online . I suppose there is such a thing as a multi-tasking couch potato .

I don't think you're a couch potato. You have too much going on to be considered one. I don't design, cross stitch, or even look at magazines, but I do have characters crawling through the empty spaces in my head and nudging the sleeping cells to wake up and come to life. I spent a little bit of time with them today.

@HazySue nope. Definition is "a person who spends little or no time exercising and a great deal of time watching television." So sitting and doing stuff is the same as it
