I remember my last Sunday's jogging covering more than 6 km without stopping and I was not puffing and blowing. Half an hour before I hit the trail, I had two spoonfuls of coconut oil that I made. So I am sure it was pure coconut oil. I read in the internet that one of its health benefits is that it can increase one's stamina and power. No wonder I wasn't feeling tired during and after the job. Yesterday afternoon I took more than one spoonful of it and and an hour or so later, I felt nausea in the stomach; it lasted several hour.

Coconut oil has many benefits but I think virgin coconut oil or one that is pressed and not heated is healthier. We also make own coconut oil by heating but the virgin one we buy and its a bit more expensive. Good luck to your run

Heating it or not as long as there is no additional substance, I guess it is virgin.

@yanzalong actually the term " virgin" means it did not undergo the heating process because it is pressed, that's why virgin olive oil is more expensive than pure olive oil, anyway it's okay my friend, if it makes you strong then it's good for you

Good to know! I started drinking coconut green tea which has coconut oil and and milk in it and I didn't need my usual cup of coffee after drinking it.

How do you use coconut oil other than drinking it?

@yanzalong I don't, I usually don't use oil because it is really gross to me. If I do use it, its rare and its always olive oil for cooking. But the tea I drink already has coconut oil and milk mixed in it, all I do is add hot water.

That's really good. I don't like taking coconut oil so I'd rather not.

Coconut in all its forms seems to be the 'in thing' at the moment. There is a shelf at our supermarket and it seems to be all coconut products.

I see. That's fantastic, then. Since we have lots of old coconuts sold at the markets, I'd rather make the oil myself.

I swear people use coconut oil like nothing, I hear about it all the time and never tried it. It has all these magical elements to it.
