Amazon Prime is pretty cool.

I pay the annual fee of $99 plus tax. When I first joined amazon prime, many years ago, it was a flat rate of $79 plus tax. There was no monthly fee for prime. For the past few years you could pay $9.99 plus tax per month. Ultimately though it costs more than the annual membership so I never chose that option. This year they've increased the price to $11.99 per month angering some customers, especially because people receiving food stamp benefits from the United States government can qualify for a $5.99 plus tax membership. Some of the benefits you get for your membership regardless of what you pay: •two day shipping for many items •special pricing •you can defer your 2 day shipping and get digital credits, $5 off of prime pantry, etc (only on certain items) •prime video (similar to Netflix) where you can watching movies, original shows and more •prime music (ad free music similar to Spotify) •prime reading (online lending library for certain kindle books) •first reads (a free ebook every month - you choose from 6 being offered) There are other benefits but these are the main ones that I take advantage of. I also pay an additional $11.99 a month for kindle unlimited but I'm going to switch to the annual payment for that. This is similar to prime reading but gives me access to way more ebooks for the kids and I to devour. We read a lot. Kindle unlimited gives us access to over 700,000 ebooks and we can check out 10 books at a time. Once we read it, we "return" it electronically and then check out the next book. We have 3 kindles linked to my account and the kids just digitally send it to their own kindle and I send my books to mine. So I get 4 books, my son gets 3 and my daughter gets 3. It's pretty nifty especially since the library is over 3 miles away. I'd spend more on train fare than I spend on my membership. Do you have amazon prime? Do you think it's worth it?

I dont! I think its a great deal for all that you mentioned. I had it at one time. But for me its like why pay 10 bucks for free shipping or 2 day shipping? The stuff rarely came in 2 days (only counting business days). Plus I didn't shop every month. If I do, its usually over the limit needed to get free shipping anyway.

@Plethos of course, although it isn't as good as it used to be. I save them up for when they offer amazon gift cards
